The Yacht Captain course at Alfa Náutica is designed to offer comprehensive, flexible and rigorous training, combining high-level theory with real practical experience at sea.

Online classes, live or recorded, so you can progress at your own pace and access the content from anywhere.

Mandatory motor practice48 hours of sailing aboard our 16-meter sailboat, fully equipped with 4 cabins, departing from the Marina of Valencia. Practical sessions are conducted in small groups, guaranteeing a personalized and high-quality training experience.

Complete study material, including the official book and all the necessary resources to prepare for the theory exam with confidence.

To obtain a Yacht Captain's certificate, you must be over 18 years of age at the time of the theoretical exam, pass a medical examination at an authorized medical center, and hold a Yacht Skipper's certificate. In addition, you must pass the corresponding theoretical exam and complete the mandatory 48-hour practical motor navigation course.

Once certified, a Yacht Captain can command motorboats up to 24 meters in length, with no power limit, and navigate both day and night. The certification allows navigation throughout the Mediterranean and up to 200 nautical miles offshore. It is also possible to extend the certification to include sailing vessels by completing a sailing course, which is optional and expands the license's privileges.
