During the theory portion, you will acquire the necessary knowledge to operate safely and in accordance with current regulations. Key aspects covered include maritime regulations (navigation zones, right-of-way rules, and signaling), safety and risk prevention, basic meteorology (wind, waves, and currents), and the instructor's responsibilities in managing clients and organizing groups. Basic first aid is also included.
Practical training is the core of the course and takes place entirely at sea. You will practice jet ski handling—acceleration, turning, and braking—, leading guided tours in a group, safety maneuvers such as rescuing people from the water, and emergency simulations. All of this is done through realistic exercises that replicate common professional situations.
The course includes comprehensive training with theoretical classes and learning materials (notes or online access), as well as practical exercises at sea with real-world use of jet skis, fuel, and driving and rescue drills. You will be accompanied at all times by certified instructors, with continuous supervision throughout the training.
All necessary equipment is provided, including life jackets and wetsuits (depending on the season), along with the administrative processing of the certificate and the issuance of the official qualification in accordance with current regulations. Throughout the course, you will also have liability and accident insurance.
